Everybody's gotta eat

Cade and Kylie were talking to each other the other day about getting a treat. I had just sat down to nurse Jack and suddenly I had a captive audience. Cade then proceeded to explain to Kylie that the right side is Jack's breakfast, lunch and dinner. The left side is Jack's treats. This was news to me so I was glad to find out. It's now very clear why Jack prefers to eat on the left side.

First, I have a few questions

When Cade came to the hospital to see Jack for the first time, he was asked if he wanted to hold him. Cade asked, "How cold is he?" I dont' know where that came from but he didn't want to hold him while he was there. Now that we are home he can't seem to get enough of him.

I love this kid

Yesterday I was burping Jack when Cade asked, "Mom, when you are done hitting him, can I hold him?"

It's all in how you look at it

In April 2009 Cade was finishing up preschool for the semester. We went to his parent, teacher conference where Teacher Alisa was showing us his progress. She had asked him to draw some pictures of his family. At the time I was about 4 months pregnant with Jack. Cade drew a picture of Jack and it was pretty much just a circle. When his teacher asked him to tell her about the picture, he said the circle was Jack's head. Alisa asked if Jack had anything else and Cade's reply was, "I don't know. I've never seen him." She also asked him to tell her about the picture he drew of me. In the picture there was a spot on my leg. Alisa asked what it was that was on my leg and Cade told her it was bruise. She said, "Does your mom have a bruise?" Cade said, "She does in the picture."
